What are H.264 or AVC Video codecs

 

               H.264/MPEG-4 Part 10 or AVC (Advanced Video Coding) is a standard for video compression. Most commonly these codecs are used on Blu-ray video discs. Every Blu-ray player must have this H.264 decoding feature. Some of the windows and linux media players also have this decoding options like VLC media player.

 

 

               Also this decoding is mostly use in online video streaming websites like Youtube. That is because Adobe Flash Player uses H.264 Video decoding system to stream flv videos.
